There aren't many people that know everything that there is to know about van wraps & signwriting, and therefore there are many questions and common misconceptions that people pick up along the way. This might be from horror stories of poorly installed wraps, or even just whispers along the way that they might not be worth it.
Well, we're here to let you know that those naysayers are very wrong by proving those vehicle wrap myths wrong!
Myth 1 - "Wrapping my vehicle can damage my paintwork!"
The truth behind this myth is, it's simply not true! The vast majority of wraps will protect your paintwork from chips, dirt and more that could be flicked up from the road. It adds a protective layer over your vehicle's paintwork that keeps it looking pristine, whilst also advertising your business in a big way.
In a minority of cases, where wraps are installed onto old or failing paintwork, a wrap may remove paint from the vehicle when it's de-wrapped. This very rarely happens to vehicles under 15 years old. If we think that your paintwork could be damaged by your wrap, we will always let you know before we install.
Myth 2 - "I can't wrap my vehicle, it's leased!"
Most leasing companies allow vehicle wraps, and we'd recommend it! By wrapping your leased van, car, truck or lorry, you're protecting the paintwork from damage. That means that when the time comes to trade that van in for a new one, it retains it's value.
Myth 3 - "I can't get my van signwritten, I do sub-contracting!"
Sub-contractors rejoice! There's a solution to this myth as well. Vehicle magnets are a great way of increasing your exposure on some jobs, but not others. Simply take the magnets off your van and stow them in your cab, and you're ready to get to that next sub-contracted job.
Make sure that you advertise the number 1 business. Yours.
Myth 4 - "I don't need a professional wrap, I'll just do it myself!"
While DIY is something we'd usually encourage, vehicle wrapping is something best left to seasoned professionals. Using the wrong materials, the wrong tools and not knowing how to install the wrap properly can lead to air bubbles that never dissipate, wonky graphics or worse, damage to your vehicle.
None of these will do your brand justice, and therefore we will always suggest getting your vehicle wrapped by a professional commercial vehicle wrapping centre, just like us.
