Warranty
At Goodwin Graphics, we offer bespoke vehicle wrapping services, primarily for business customers. Below are the full terms of our warranty cover, which is designed to help protect both parties in the event of a wrap failure.
The warranty covers the business listed on your invoice, and is not transferrable upon sale of a vehicle or business closure/dissolution. In the event of graphics or a wrap being fitted to a personal vehicle, the warranty covers the customer written on the invoice only. It does not cover any subsequent owners of the vehicle.
Your Warranty
All vehicle wraps installed by Goodwin Graphics come with two standard warranties, which protect you, your vehicle, and your graphics. These warranties cover different issues that can arise when wrapping a vehicle, and together they work together to fully protect your investment.
Manufacturer’s Warranty
Vinyl manufacturer's warranties are limited to vehicles aged 5 years or less, and have original paintwork that is in good condition. The warranty covers the vinyl against shrinkage and discolouration, and in turn any cracks or failures for the duration, which is normally in the range of 5-7 years. Whilst these problems are very uncommon, they can occur regardless of the vehicle's condition.
Your manufacturer's warranty length depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to:
-
Manufacturer (i.e. Avery Dennison, 3M, Hexis)
-
Physical Location (i.e. UK coastal locations, city centres, countries with harsh weather conditions)
-
Panel Orientation (i.e. vertical or horizontal panels)
-
Vinyl Effect (i.e. gloss, matte, or metallic)
-
Upkeep & Maintenance

If you would like more information, including the official warranty documents for the vinyl(s) used on your vehicle, please request it from our team.

Regular, good maintenance of your vehicle's wrap is essential, and can even prolong it's lifespan further than the manufacturers expectations. Your wrap must be cleaned regularly using a pH-neutral car wash & wax, and treated as if you would your own skin. Neglected wraps will dry out, crack and discolour. Any wrap failures deemed to be due to a lack of proper maintenance are not covered by the vinyl manufacturer's warranty, and can void it entirely.
If a repair to a wrap is required, the vehicle must be booked in advance to return to Goodwin Graphics for remedial works. If you notice that your wrap, signwriting or vehicle graphics are discolouring, cracking or failing, contact the Goodwin Graphics team immediately.
Goodwin Graphics’ Warranty
Working in tandem with manufacturer’s warranties, Goodwin Graphics offer a 1 year return-to-base warranty on all vinyl installations. This covers failures due to the installation process, misplaced graphical elements, and other issues that are deemed to be within our control, on all vehicles regardless of age. Goodwin Graphics reserve the right to refuse repair of a wrap or signwriting if we believe the damage is caused by the exclusions below.
Exclusions
For clarity, here is a non-exhaustive list of things that are NOT covered by either warranty:
-
Failures due to lack of proper maintenance.
-
Failures due to poor body/paintwork*, including aftermarket parts.
-
Damage caused by cleaning (i.e. pressure washing off vinyl, use of harsh acidic/alkaline chemicals or automated car washes)
-
Typos, or mistakes that were evident and overlooked by the customer in the approved design proof.
-
Failures due to physical damage, i.e. keying, scrapes and dents.
-
Missing or misfitting graphics due to vehicle size/configuration being different to the approved design proof.
If failures, cracks, or discolouring occur and you are within the warranty period, please contact our team immediately. Do not allow the issue to deteriorate further.

* Vehicle wraps are designed to be installed on pristine paintwork. If your wrap is likely to fail due to issues with the paintwork, you will be contacted as soon as possible to inform you that your project won't be covered by the warranty. Documentation will be provided to outline the reasons for this, and you will be required to sign to acknowledge these, state that you understand the reasons why, and waive your right to a warranty.
