Vehicle Wrap Myth Busting - Part 3

Updated: Jul 17

In our experience, there are so many unknowns when it comes to wrapping commercial vehicles. Well Goodwin Graphics is on hand to bust those misconceptions about vehicle wraps, and help you to make an informed decision when it comes to wrapping or signwriting your vans.

In this part, we look at myths 9 - 12. Get in touch with our team if these myths raise any new questions, and we'd be more than happy to help!

Myth 9 - "It'll make my vehicle a target for thieves!"

There are people that think that advertising your business on the side of your van also advertises the contents of the van, implying that there are tools or goods inside your vehicle that can be stolen. In reality, there really is no proof that wrapping or signwriting your van makes your vehicle a target for thieves. The vast majority of thefts from vehicle are opportunistic, and most thieves won't risk it.

So as long as you take the reasonable precautions, your vehicle will be just fine.

Myth 10 - "Getting it removed is a nightmare!"

This myth is actually kind of true, but only if you don't know what you're doing! Our team are experts at removing wraps, just as much as they are at installing them. You can book your vehicle in with us to be de-wrapped, ready for you to part-ex, sell or hand back your vehicle at the end of your lease.

Why not get your vehicle valeted too? We can arrange for your vehicle to have a showroom valet at the same time as your de-wrap.

Myth 11 - "Getting my whole fleet wrapped would be a pain to organise."

Maintaining a large fleet of vehicles can be a real headache. Keeping tax, MOT, servicing and more up to date is a full-time job after all!

Our team can help to organise wrapping your fleet, co-ordinating with fleet managers to get every vehicle wrapped and looking fantastic, and more importantly, cohesive. Get in touch today to book your vehicles in, and get the ball rolling on a new wrap or signwriting for your truck or van fleet.

Myth 12 - "They're so difficult to maintain!"

Wraps are just as easy to maintain as regular paint. By just keeping your vehicle clean, you'll be making sure that your investment lasts. If you really want to go the extra mile, washing and waxing over your wrap can really make a difference.

Treat your wrap like your skin. Wraps that aren't washed properly will dry up, leading to cracks, discolouring and eventually failure.

We offer every customer a free aftercare guide, which will give you all the tips you need to make sure that your wrap stands the test of time, with advice from the vinyl manufacturers themselves. If you don't have one, just drop us an email!
