When wrapping a vehicle, whether that be for commercial reasons or just that special touch to your personal car, getting the best quality materials is always important. When you've finally picked out that perfect colour for your colour change, the last thing you want is for all of the corners to be lifting and failing across your car after just 6 months, or the colour fading every time you wash it. Like pretty much everything in the car world, you get what you pay for. The best manufacturers of car wrap vinyl are usually more expensive, but boy are they worth it.
At Goodwin Graphics, we use market-leading materials on every single project. We are proud of the work we do, so you won't find us buying back-street vinyl for any of our jobs. We also choose not to be accredited by manufacturers, so that we can use the vinyl we think is best for a job without limitations.
Here are the market leading manufacturers we use. Our team know the limits of the materials. They know how they work, and how they can be manipulated to fit around vehicle bodyworks:
3M
One of the most popular brands of wrap, and arguably the most well-known, globally. We use 3M 2080 wraps for our colour change projects. They offer an amazing variety of standard and flip colours. We have a 3M wrap vinyl display in our offices, for anyone who wants to pop by.
We used 3M's Green Envy for a recent project, on a Ford Ranger. We got an amazing review for that job, and part of that praise should go the way of 3M.
Avery Dennison
We use Avery Dennison Supreme for cast wrapping vinyl along side 3M's 2080 for all of our colour change wrap projects. They are market-leaders, just like 3M and Metamark, and give an amazing finish.
For all of our printed wraps we use Avery Dennison's MPI1105 with matching DOL 1000 laminates. We used this vinyl for the Hopkins Estates trucks, proving that it is perfect for use on vehicles putting in hard miles.
Metamark
These guys are our go-to brand for all of our 2D, flat panel, digitally-printed branding. Their polymeric vinyl is the best on the market and we trust it to provide the best results for our commercial customers, putting their faith in us and Metamark to give them the best looking vans on the road, for the longest lifespans.
We use Metamark's MD5 & MG700 laminate for nearly every signwriting project, as well as our signage work.
These manufacturers are the main ones that we use, at Goodwin Graphics. That doesn't necessarily mean that other wrapping companies use the "wrong ones". We just use the ones we know and trust to do the job properly. So when you're looking to have your vehicle wrapped or signwritten, we will always strongly recommend these brands. They are tried, tested and trusted across the country, and all over the world.
